TRINIDAD and Tobago has a responsibility to be prepared, vigilant and engaged in the mission of Jesus Christ because it is seen as the “mother church” in the Caribbean region, said Italian cardinal Fernando Filoni.

The high-ranking official from the Vatican made the comments while delivering the homily during Holy Mass on Saturday evening at the Pro-Cathedral of the Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Harris Promenade, San Fernando.
