Earth Just Narrowly Missed Getting Hit by an Asteroid             ^
On Saturday, astronomers discovered a new asteroid, just a few hours before it almost hit us.
The asteroid is called 2016 QA2, and it missed the Earth by less than a quarter of the distance to the moon. That puts it about three times as far away from Earth as our farthest satellites. And we never saw it coming.

Iran: 'We Welcome War With the U.S.'                  ^
Last week, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) sent four vessels to “harass” a U.S. warship near the Strait of Hormuz. A prim schoolmarm of a U.S. official called the Iranian action “unsafe and unprofessional.”
In reality, there was nothing “unprofessional” about it. The incident wasn’t about seafaring conduct -- it was a clear act of war.

Why Is Obama Doing Uncomfortably War-Like Things to Syria and Russia?         ^
Usually, when one nation declares war on another there’s some kind of announcement. Constitutionally speaking, there are some rules to follow. But maybe there are some exceptions that I didn’t hear about in high school civics class, because even if he hasn’t made such an outright declaration, President Obama sure is doing some uncomfortably war-like things to Syria and Russia.

Homeland eyes special declaration to take charge of elections        ^

Holoportation                 ^
Holoportation is a new type of 3D capture technology that allows high-quality 3D models of people to be reconstructed, compressed and transmitted anywhere in the world in real time. When combined with mixed reality displays such as HoloLens, this technology allows users to see, hear, and interact with remote participants in 3D as if they are actually present in the same physical space.

US calls Iran's actions in Arabian Gulf 'unsafe' and 'provocative'       ^
The head of US Central Command (CENTCOM) called on Iran on Tuesday to stop what he said were "provocative" actions in the Gulf and accused the Iranian leadership of trying to create instability in the region. CENTCOM Commander General Joseph Votel told reporters at a Pentagon press briefing that Iran was alone is carrying out what he said was the "unprofessional" harassment of navy vessels in international waters.

Nigerian economy slips into recession             ^
Nigeria has slipped into recession, with the latest growth figures showing the economy contracted by 2.06% between April and June. The country has now seen two consecutive quarters of declining growth, the usual definition of recession. Its vital oil industry has been hit by weaker global prices, according to the Nigerian Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

Obama’s Doctor Says Hillary Clinton Should Undergo A ‘Thorough Neurological Examination’                   ^

A significant step was recently taken towards reinstating the Temple service when the nascent Sanhedrin selected Rabbi Baruch Kahane as the next Kohen Gadol (high priest). A candidate’s death could delay or eliminate the 2016 Presidential Election                   ^
August 2016 WASHINGTON – American democracy would break new ground if Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump left a presidential ticket vacancy before the Nov. 8 general election. The presidential election could be delayed or scrapped altogether if conspiracy theories become predictive and a candidate dies or drops out before Nov. 8. The perhaps equally startling alternative, if there’s enough time: Small groups of people hand-picking a replacement pursuant to obscure party rules.

German savers lose faith in banks, stash cash at home: one more sign of impending financial calamity                ^
August 2016HAMBURG — German savers are leaving the security of savings banks for what many now consider an even safer place to park their cash: home safes. For years, Germans kept socking money away in savings accounts despite plunging interest rates. Savers deemed the accounts secure, and they still offered easy cash access. But recently, many have lost faith. “It doesn’t pay to keep money in the bank, and on top of that you’re being taxed on it,” said Uwe Wiese, an 82-year-old pensioner who recently bought a home safe to stash roughly €53,000 ($59,344), including part of his company pension that he took as a payout.

Defense Contractors Tell Investors World War III is Great for Business
They see it as a ‘historic opportunity.’               ^
The mainstream media has been working overtime to position Putin’s Russia as our newest and most pressing international threat, and now even the most absurd events in media are linked to Russian interference. The reason why media is working so hard to create the impression that Russia is actively conspiring against is because conflict with the former Soviet Union is good for business.
If you had any remaining doubts that the world is being forced into perpetual military conflict so that a morally corrupt world elite can garner huge profits, then consider recent comments by members of the military industrial complex about the benefits of escalating tensions between Russia and the west.

FDA declared veggies ‘unapproved drugs’ after NYC allowed doctors to prescribe fresh fruit and vegetables as treatment for obesity          ^

“This program makes New York City the largest U.S. city to officially acknowledge that fruits and vegetables have a role to play in preventing chronic degenerative disease — an idea that the FDA insists is delusional. According to the FDA, there is no such thing as any fruit, vegetable, supplement or superfood that has any ability whatsoever to prevent, treat or cure any disease.

“. . . according to the FDA, the mere ‘prescribing’ of a food as something to prevent obesity automatically transforms that food into a ‘drug.’ Under current FDA regulations, then, NYC is guilty of promoting ‘unapproved drugs’ which are really just fruits and vegetables. But that’s how FDA logic works.”
