FOUR BLOOD MOONS – Something Is About To Change
... Excerpt
As the world spins away totally ignorant of God’s celestial billboard, I believe we are heading for major changes globally. Is anyone aware of this? Genesis 1:1,14 of the Bible says “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth … And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years.” Starting from that foundation, Hagee (John Hagee) reminds us that Jesus Himself taught that there would be “signs in the sun, in the moon and in the stars” (Luke 21:25) as a sign that believers should be alert to the nearing return of the Savior.
Hagee points out that major world changes have corresponded with the ‘blood moons’ of 1493-1494, 1949-1950, and 1967-1968. From the opening of the New World to the emergence of a Jewish state to major wars in the Middle East, Hagee writes that these events “centered on significant events related to Israel and the Jewish people” and that the coming blood moons of 2014-2015 could mark another major change for Israel and the world.
“Each of the three previous series of Four Blood Moons began with a trail of tears and ended with triumph for the Jewish people,” Hagee writes. The central message throughout FOUR BLOOD MOONS, however, is not merely a call to watch the skies but an impassioned appeal for individuals to recognize the necessity for faith in Jesus/Yeshua. He also calls upon the nations to show unconditional love towards Israel and to be aware that God will punish or reward nations based on their treatment of Israel. Note these two verses from the Old and New Testaments:
“And I will show wonders in the heavens, and in the earth, blood and fire and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of Jehovah.” Joel 2:30 -31
“The sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood, before that great and glorious Day of the Lord.” Acts 2:20 (spoken by Jesus)
How does the moon turn to’ blood’? NASA and science have named a certain type of TOTAL lunar eclipse as ‘blood moons’. This happens when certain conditions exist in the amount of celestial dust and the time of the full moon. Red light, defracted from the sun, plays across the moon when it’s inside Earth’s shadow. (*See notes from NASA below).
The Jewish Talmud (book of tradition / Interpretation) says; “When the moon is in eclipse, it is a bad omen for Israel. If its face is as red as blood, it is a sign that the sword is coming to the Jews.” Therefore: Lunar Eclipse = bad omen for the Jewish people and Israel; Solar Eclipse = bad omen for the world.
A tetrad of four consecutive blood moons on Jewish Feast days within two years in Israel is very rare and has only occurred seven times since the time of Jesus. Each of these also contained a TOTAL solar eclipse somewhere in the middle of the two years. There are now four blood moons and a Total solar eclipse scheduled to appear in 2014/2015 on the Feasts of Passover and Tabernacles, and then there will NOT be any for the next 500 years.
Every time this blood moon/solar eclipse pattern has appeared on Jewish feast days a big event has affected the nation of Israel. The event affecting Israel begins just before the actual years of the blood moons. But immediately after the tribulations of Israel, a time of deliverance and victory follows. To understand what will happen in the 2014 – 2015 blood moons you must understand the pattern of blood moons in the past.
NASA found that we have had ”blood-red moons” on the first day of Passover and the first day of Sukkoth (Tabernacles) on back-to-back years seven times since 1 A.D. Three of these occurrences were connected to:
1492 (the year the Jews were expelled from Spain by Queen Isabella, but followed by Christopher Columbus’ discovery of America where Jews were able to escape persecution, and where home is today for more than 5 million Jews.
1948 (Hitler’s Holocaust, followed by the statehood of Israel)
1967 (the Six-Day War, followed by the Jews’ reclamation of Jerusalem)
These are some of the most significant days in Jewish history.
According to NASA – Four ‘blood-red’ TOTAL lunar eclipses with an intervening solar eclipse WILL fall again on Passover and Sukkoth (Tabernacles) in 2014 and 2015… the same back-to-back occurrences as at the times of 1492, 1948 and 1967. Seven back-to-back, blood-red moons have fallen on the first day of Passover and Sukkoth, with the eighth time coming in 2014 and 2015. Add to this the fact that 2015 is a Shemittah (Sabbatical) Year, which occurs every seven years. Historically, God punished the Jews for not observing the Shemittah year, that is, leaing the land to rest for one year. Hagee writes “In America, the judgment of violating Shemittah is not linked to the land of Israel but to our national disobedience to the Word of God. We give our allegiance to the idols of self indulgence and greed, and our immorality is equivalent to that of Sodom and Gomorrah.” “God always sends a nation warning before He sends judgment; are we listening? Will America be at war? Will America’s mountain of debt come crashing down, destroying the dollar? Will global terrorists attack our nation again with a force that will make 9/11 pale by comparison? The attacks on the Twin Towers were on September 11, 2001. The Wall Street crash was on September 29, 2008. The next Tetrad will end in September 2015, which will include the Year of Shemittah. Will a crisis happen as before? What earthshaking event will it be? This we know: things are about to change forever!”
Hagee does not presume to say just what momentous events will occur in the next two years, but it is certain that something big is coming. Look at the state of the world – Israel, the U.S., Egypt, Syria, Iran, Russia, etc. etc.
It cannot be regarded as coincidence that all four blood moons of 2014/15 occur on religious festivals of Israel, together with two eclipses of the sun also on important days in 2015. A blood moon will occur on the 14th day of Nisan in 2014, when the Passover will be celebrated in Israel (Leviticus 23:5). Nisan is the first month in Israel’s religious calendar. On the 15th day of the seventh month (Tishri) when the Feast of Tabernacles begins (Leviticus 23:34) there will be another blood moon.
Exactly the same pattern will be repeated in 2015. Because of Israel’s lunar calendar these dates all coincide with the full moon – on these occasions the moon will become blood-red. Apart from the lunar eclipses there will also be two eclipses of the sun in 2015… on the first day of Nisan and again on the first day of Tishri. The Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year) is celebrated on 1st Tishri, which is the beginning of their civil calendar.
The eclipses of the sun and moon confront us with precise dates which cannot be manipulated…! Nevertheless, these signs should not be seen as an attempt to date-setting for the Second Coming of Christ but rather as a wake-up call to be ready for what may happen in the near future.
