Strong and deep earthquake registered as M 6.3 (USGS) struck near L'Esperanze Rock at Kermadec Islands archipelago, New Zealand at 21:24 UTC on October 11, 2013. The epicenter was located 87 km (54 miles) NNE of L'Esperanze Rock at coordinates 30.752°S 178.439°W. The epicenter was recorded at depth of 146.5km (91.0 miles).
